ABOUT THE SEMINAR The Full Day Train the Trainer Workshop introduces participants to the history, concepts and functionality of the SRP and SRM and how to train the programs internally. Participants will walk away from the workshop with a deep understanding of how the SRP provides a proven, action-based enhancement to all-hazards school safety planning. After learning about the five actions of the SRP, and their associated directives, participants will be able to implement the program and enhance the safety plans of their school district. The Tohatchi Middle School Mountain Bike Club is excited to once again host the 2nd Annual GMCS Mountain Bike Rally on May 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. We invite you to come out and cheer on the students. This event will bring together student riders from middle school clubs across the district, including Tohatchi, Thoreau, Crownpoint, Navajo, Chief Manuelito, and JFK.
We are also proud to team up with the mechanics and coaches from Silver Stallion Bicycle & Coffee Works to ensure our young riders have a safe experience both on and off the trails. Our middle school students are taking field trips to the Nuclear Science Museum in Albuquerque. 7th grade will attend on April 29, and 8th grade will attend on May 22. Permission to attend will be dependent on signed permission slips, attendance, passing classes, and behavior.
The activities students will participate in include learning about atmospheric pressure, building circuits, and 3D printing.
