Navajo Middle School is a 6-8 middle school nestled in the beautiful mountains of Navajo, New Mexico. The school-wide focus is literacy (reading, writing, and discussion) and student engagement in learning across all the content areas of English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Navajo Language and Culture, Art, PE, and STEM activities in the Discovery Center. Students are offered a variety of programs that enrich and enhance their education such as the After Hours Academy for tutoring and makerspace, and the after school mountain biking program (that begins in March). Project Lead the Way vocational courses of Medical Detectives and Science of Technology have been added for the 2022-2023 school year.
All Gallup-McKinley County School students received a box of school supplies and laptops at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. For students who still need the new hotspots, please contact the front office at Navajo Middle School. School supplies are available upon request.
